When do the coaches get their teams?
Coaches should expect to receive their team rosters at the Mandatory Coaches Meeting, which is scheduled for July 26, 2008.
When do the players get called?
Teams may begin practice on or after August 1, 2008. The coaches will call the players usually from mid to late July. They will give you all the information you will need in regards to practice times and location. Each coach sets his/her own practice days, time and location. The practice fields are located throughout Moorpark. We are permitted for using only Arroyo Vista Park. Please keep in mind that other youth soccer organizations may have permits for other parks located in the City of Moorpark.
It’s after August 1st and my child has not been called. What do I do?
Please do not panic if you see teams practicing and your child has not been called. Not all teams begin practice at the same time. The very young teams, in particular, do not always begin practice on August 1, 2008. Also some coaches may be out of town. If your child has not been called by August 17th, you may leave a message at 805-529-7666.
What else does my child need?
The registration fee includes: complete uniform (jersey, shorts, socks) supplemental accident insurance and team and individual pictures.
In addition, you may need to obtain shoes, shin guards, a soccer ball (size depends on age) and a water bottle.
How often are practices and games?
Practices are usually held twice a week for the competitive divisions, which are U10 and above (field and times to be determined by you child’s coach). Games will be on Saturdays with the first game on September 6, 2008. All Games will be held at a field in Arroyo Vista Park. Game fields for some in the older divisions (U16 and above) may be at another location.
Refund?
NO REFUNDS after July 15, 2008 will be issued except for the following reasons: 1) Child is injured and unable to play; or 2) Child has moved out of Moorpark.
Late registration?
Late registration begins after our last registration on June 15, 2008. We take late registration applications until the middle of the season. Late Registration fee is $90 and check is deposited only if the child is registered. Those interested may call 805-529-7666.

AYSO is a parent-based volunteer organization established to provide a positive experience for our children. Go to the games. Learn the rules. Above all, be tolerant of the children’s coaches and referees mistakes and weaknesses.
